running in a browser: Summary

Two browser-based 3D virtual worlds are now in public beta. Both are ready for initial use. CybaLOUNGE has an educational project in the initial production stage. 3DWebWorldz is presently seeking museum content as part of its preparation for educational services.

- Yes, we can put 3D virtual worlds into a browser.
- You have an avatar that represents you. You talk with the other people there.
- You walk around. You look around.
- You can notice that the 3D world shows you a lot more than a web page.
- Because you can see things at a distance and walk up to see them better.
- You do this with just your browser. The same way you read your email.
- No software to install. Move with your arrow keys, talk with the press of a button.
- Use a low-cost computer, Chromebook, or even a modern tablet.
