Wait a bit before you try to move. Things may have to finish loading. If you still can't move, there was a load problem. Press the reload button (circular arrow, upper left)
To walk forward, press the up arrow key. To walk fast, hold down the shift key when you press the forward arrow. To turn to the side, press a side-pointing arrow key.
Click on the mic button to talk in voice. If you bring a friend, the two of you can talk. If you don't want to talk, you can use the typed chat bar.
Several of us are building worlds in Cybalounge. Eight or more of these are public. To visit the public worlds, click the pointed pushpin (bottom line), look through the list of worlds, and click Enter to visit one.
Don't try to move immediately. Things have to load before you can move.

Cybalounge vision by Dieter Heyne, IT-Consulting
CybaLOUNGE is a 3D virtual world running entirely in your browser.
Our aim is to provide a three-dimensional metaverse platform for recreational, educational and business/collaboration purposes. To achieve this we will share the tools to create all kinds of content by users for users. We expect cybaLOUNGE to grow day by day, offering new experiences all the time.
cybaLOUNGE will consist of locations created, owned and managed by users, where you may perform many various activities, like listening to music, playing interactive games, dancing or just talking with friends. The possibilities are nearly infinite … only YOUR imagination is the limit … locations may be customized in many ways … even allowing to develop new features for specific locations.
We are really excited to see this metaverse expanding with all your help. New functionality and new tools will be added regularly in order to support everyone creating content:
- locations, e.g. clubs, recreational areas, office spaces, interactive environments
- assets, like furniture, game accessories, whole buildings
- avatars (shapes, skins and clothing)
- animations … make avatars move
Create your avatar, enter cybaLOUNGE and have a great time. This new virtual world was made for you … and for you … and of course for you, too … the only limitation is your imagination … simply join and enjoy!

Is CybaLounge inhabited?
CybaLounge is inhabited sometimes. You are most likely to find it inhabited from noon to 12:30 Central time (US) on weekdays. I (Selby Evans) am there regularly at that time to chat with visitors and explain how we can use Cybalounge in educational and public service projects. To visit CybaLOUNGE, go to the web page, click on guest, pick an avatar, enter a nickname, and enter. No registration, no password.-

Selby's world has tutorials for building
- They are the same tutorials as in this blog.
- But a small group could walk along the path and share info.
- Or I might walk with a group and answer questions.
- That's how a web-world can be used to teach or to pass on information
- There are other ways to go through a series of tutorials.
- You can open some in your browser and ask questions.
- Since I am also in your browser, I can still hear you and talk to you.
You can have a web-world yourself--free
- Vist CybaLOUNGE. Register. As a registered user, you get a web-world.
