Here's the latest IMA (Infinite Metaverse Alliance) project, a list of Hypergrid performers, where they have performed, and how to locate them on G+ or Linkedin (if available).  This is to help the OpenSim Region Owners & EVENT planners to find performers for their events and to help performers get gigs.

Successful demo of streaming a performance into a web-world as well as OpenSim.  James Olmos, a regular at the Warehouse on the OpenSim.life grid, performed there and at the (duplicate) warehouse in 3DWebworldz.  Local chat was shared between the 2 sites.  Web-worlds are connecting to OpenSim,

      The internet is forcing us to reinvent learning environments.  Anything we need to learn is on the internet, so we no longer need to spend money on paper books.  Do we need to spend money on building more brick and mortar schools?  We could put well-staffed an well-equipped learning centers on the internet.

      • Libraries have always been centers for adult learning
      • So have museums.  So have universities.
      • All three of these have been adapting to the Internet and the WWWeb.
      • And some will adapt to the growing availability of 3D virtual worlds.
      • Now 3D virtual worlds can live in a browser--the same browser we use for search.
      • People can meet in such places.  They can talk to each other.
      • They can work together.  Teacher or mentors can work with students.
      • Students can study together or work on projects together.
      • With no one leaving home.  Independent Learning Centre (ILC)

      Two browser-based 3D virtual worlds are now in public beta.  Both are ready for initial use.  CybaLOUNGE  has an educational project in the initial production stage.  3DWebWorldz is presently seeking museum content as part of its preparation for educational services.

      New Cybalounge entry page gives you drop-down list of optional entry places and a safe mode to enter your place when a problem item prevents normal entry.

      • Note the Non-profit in the title. This server is in the US.
      • The grid is specifically intended for the use of non-profit organizations. 
      • I expect to give early adopters on this grid support for some production grids.
