2016 PEOPLE: What is "Virtual Outworlding" and how can you use it? Keywords

What is "Virtual Outworlding" and how can you use it?
Keywords
Here I offer a new way to find things in my blog, Virtual Outworlding:
Keywords.   The method could be used with any blog on Blogger, provided the author(s) mark the articles with key terms.

About virtual worlds

  • A virtual world is like a massive computer game with no rules.
  • And no goal until you set your own goal.
  • Yeah.  You do what you please.
  • It's for people who don't like to be told what to do.

Outworlding

  • Outworlding is about getting the word to the outworld.
  • Inworld refers to a virtual, imaginary world created in a computer.
  • So outworld refers to out in the "real" world.
  • And Outworlding means telling people in the outworld about virtual worlds.
  • Virtual worlds here means the kind of virtual world created by Second Life.

These virtual worlds are characterized by

  • Graphic representations of the environment.
  • Populated by avatars representing the users
  • User-created content (scripted representations of objects)
  • Voice and text communication.
  • Multiple users (avatars) able to move freely in the world.
  • Multiple users communicating with each other.
  • Communities of interest generating most of the activity.

Search on page in Chrome

  • With the page open, press Ctrl+f.  Type search term in the bar upper right.
  • This method may work in other browsers.

Standard search methods

  • Google search this blog In Chrome, use Search bar, upper left.

Contents by keyword

The links below perform a search of this blog for articles coded by the keyword in the link.   You get the start of each article (above the break).  Articles from recent years start with an abstract or summary.  Because these links perform a search when clicked, the results are always up to date.

Summary pages

The main themes for this blog have summary pages carrying organized links to relevant articles.  The summary pages may not be complete, so you may want to look further by clicking on specific keywords in the sections below.
