Will I be able to move my OpenSim world 
to a web-world? 

A quick, superficial view of how OpenSimiulator relates to web-worlds--virtual worlds in your browser

What is a web-world?

• It is a virtual world accessible on a browser.  
• No download and install a viewer.
• At a minimum, the visitor will choose an avatar and enter a screen name.
• If they like what they find, they may get a viewer for a better experience. 
• You can embed it on your web page.  And it does have voice.

Can I move my OpenSim world to a web-world?

• It would not be easy and you don't want to do that anyway.
• Our OpenSim worlds have too much in them to give good performance on WebGL.
• You could pick a single place on your world to make a miniworld for the browser.
• (But don't feel cramped.  You can put a dozen miniworlds on a web page.)
• To create a world, you could import it as a collada file.
• You pick an important place in your OS world.
• A meeting room, a stage, a theater, a classroom.
• You isolate that on a separate sim and make an OAR file.
• Then: New tool coverts OpenSim regions to mesh.
• (You may rework that file to make it more efficient.)
