More times when I may be in the nonprofit web world
******************
**********************************************************************************
I describe a plan that lets me be in a web-world to chat with visitors several times a week. I am starting to test it to see if it works for me.
Web-world for nonprofits
and public service organizations
- Voice works here, at least if you are using the Chrome browser.
- Click the Mic (bottom line) to turn on voice.
- You can hear even if you do not speak.
- Firefox and Edge may not work with voice until they are updated.
- Click here to visit my web world
- Enter as guest -- just pick your avatar and a nickname. No registration.
- I expect to be in that world weekdays, 10 to 10:30 am California time.
- 3D web-worlds of the browser (G+ community)
Other times I may be in the web-world
- Sundays 1 to 2 pm (All times are California time zone)
- Mondays 6 to 7 pm
- Thursdays 12 to 1 pm
- Thursdays 5 to 6 pm
- Fridays 12 to 1 pm, 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm
- (More after the break, scroll down!)

Can I handle 2 worlds at once?
- My adventures in virtual worlds take me to several regular meetings a week.
- Conveniently, these meetings are on my computer.
- So it takes me less than 20 seconds to get there.
- I will usually be at my computer at meeting times.
- Maybe I can also talk to people in my web-world.
- Some of those meetings are mostly in typed text. They go slow.
- I can probably talk to people in my web-world and follow the text in the meeting.
- If a meeting is in voice, I can probably still answer questions.
- But this is just a test. In virtual worlds, even the failures are virtual.
With a little help from my friends
- If people have questions, I don't have to know the answers.
- In each meeting I will have friends who know a lot more than I do.
- I can pass on questions to them.
- Or get them to come into the web-world and explain things.
- That is only about a twenty-second trip.
- And the travel is all by browser.
Notes
- To use voice, click the Mic button (bottom line)
- If voice does not connect, click reset voice (panel, upper left).
- Voice may not connect if you are in a virtual world with voice on there.
- The bulletin board at one end of the seats may carry updating info.
- To read the BB easily, click on it.
- To sit. click the blue thing in the chair. To stand, click STOP ANIMATION
- To review local typed chat, click on the speech bubbles on the bottom line
- Web links will appear in a distinct color.
- To open the linked page, click the speech bubbles, click the link.
- To relog, click the circle graphic, upper right.
