Permalinks and content updates. A number of the posts on this blog are of lasting interest. Some of the content has to be updated, but such posts need a permalink so links still work after the update. Fortunately, I can edit the posts and keep the content up-to-date. That is what I have been doing over the last few months. Now most of the previous posts have been updated or marked obsolete.
-
Posts that have recently been updated will have a prefix of the year of the most recent update. New posts for 2013 will have 2013 as the prefix.

Search bar and Translation bar have been added to the right-hand column

Themes
Invited articles and press releases
I am looking for Invited articles and news releases that fit these themes. If you have a report or release that you want me to consider, the best way to contact me is to send Thinkerer Melville a notecard inworld or a message via MySL. Be sure to include relevant slurls and web links.
-
You can also make a comment on this blog. In that case, your post should carry the news you want to release. I may not pick up the information. at least not immediately. In some cases, I may not post on it but will list it in the Events page (see above in the header menu). But if I see something that calls for follow-up, I will get back to it when I have a place on my publishing schedule.
-
Please note that I am primarily interested in actionable content--content that some readers could use in things they are doing or planning.

Publishing schedule
These publishing times are picked to fit the benefits of shared-media posters in Second Life.

Publishing schedule
These publishing times are picked to fit the benefits of shared-media posters in Second Life.
- Early morning SLT (As needed) Special events for that day.
- Late Morning SLT. Main feature story representing one of my themes. Preferably carries a picture, since it will be up on my shared media posters through much of the day. These posts are not deleted unless they become out of date
- Afternoon SLT. (As needed) Late-breaking news, time-sensitive announcements, or secondary feature. Time-sensitive posts may be deleted when they become outdated.
