Two kinds of land management deal with access control:

• Parcel 
• Sim/estate

Uses for parcel access control?

• Keep out problem people. Defense against the Dark Arts
• Restrict access to people who have bought tickets
• Restrict access to a specific group

Who can set parcel access controls?

• Privately owned: Owner only
• Group Owned: Group members with parcel access roles

How do you set parcel access controls?

• Eject/ban

Notes

The sim/estate access controls override the parcel access controls. Be sure to check the sim/estate access controls for possible conflicts when you set parcel access controls. If parcel settings are not working as you expected, check the region/estate settings.

• Keep out problem people. Defense against the Dark Arts
• Limit Access to contributing group members, role players, etc.

Who can set regon/estate access control?

• Owner
• Estate managers appointed by the owner.

How do you set regon/estate access controls?
World (top menu)-Land properties-Region/estate

Note that these settings apply to all parcels and override parcel settings.  To avoid conflict problems, it is best to set the region access to public, if possible.

If parcel settings are not working as you expected, check the region/estate settings.
