Full Video Guide for OBS Studio And Twitch

Live capture

  • I have been testing live capture at virtual events.
  • In live capture, I turn on the recorder.
  • and capture a video of part of the event.
  • In Firestorm, I can suppress messages from people:
  • Comm (top menu) --Online Status--Unavailable
  • The control buttons show, as does anything that appears on my screen.
  • To avoid the need for labeling, I capture a sign describing the event.
  • I post the video unedited if I like the result.
  • I can do that because OBS saves in MP4
  • I can trim the ends:  Put the clip in the player
  • Press i and o keys to set the in (start) and out (end) points respectively

Shortcut Keys for Firestorm

  • Hide user interface: Ctr+Alt+F1
  • Highlight transparent (Toggle) Ctll+Alt+ t
  • Shift+Ctr+Alt + click on something = Camera follows itt
  • Ctr+Shift+1 = Shows current frame rate
  • Alt+arrows = Zooms in out and left and right
  • Ctr+Alt+ arrows = Pans up and down
  • Advanced Tab - Show Debug Settings - RenderVolumeLODFactor - 4.000 = Rezzes all objects at a high level for optimal video capture

      Edit

      Post

      • I post to YouTube. The others delete videos too easily.
      • I pick up videos about virtual worlds and embed them in my blog.
      • I only embed videos from YouTube. The others delete and ruin the post.

      Promote

      Promote to your content audience

      • Only people interested in video production look at videos in general.
      • Most people look at videos about their interests.
      • Search for the topic of your video in G+ Communities.
      • Post in one or more of these communities.
