Resources for free outreach
IMA WG23 Marketing and Outreach aims at at the objective of bringing more new people into virtual worlds. That is an objective of great interest to content creators, content aggregators, and grid owners. Here I point out some ways we can use social media to publicize what is available virtual worlds and to show people how to get there.

- Collect and promote outreach methods.
- Monitor and publicize successful and promising outreach methods.
- Find and publicize inworld activities that offer good outreach publicity opportunities.
- Find and publicize inworld places that offer good outreach publicity opportunities.
- Find and publicize easy entry routes for beginners.
WG subtasks, specific targets
- Identify promising target audiences.
- For each target audience, find effective channels and relevant sources.

The Hypergrid WIP Show
- The Hypergrid WIP is a one hour "show & tell" of works in progress.
- Everyone is invited. Building, scripting, entertainment-- whatever you are working on.
- Selby may capture video of presentations in voice, for posting on YouTube.
- The WIP show normally meets on 2 Sundays a month at 12 pm California time.
- The show meets at the Pandora location on the second Sunday
- But will not meet in the summer.
- And at Cookie II on the fourth Sunday.
- To keep up with the WIP meetings, join the Kitely group, Work in progress.
- The Hypergrid WIP is a one hour "show & tell" of works in progress.
