Put a picture of your world in the popular worlds list
*****************************
Cybalounge is designed to host multiple web-worlds, like a virtual world grid. That is a good plan for user-built web-worlds, because users can work together in a multi-world aggregation. And the worlds can share traffic in the location list. Here is how to put in a thumbnail to show off your world.
I needed to put a new picture
in the location list

Make the picture
- Cybalounge does not have the picture-taking feature of the older virtual worlds.
- But any screen-capture software will do. I used Jing.
- To fit as thumbnail, I need something approximately square.
- But the system will automatically resize it as needed.
- Jing saves in .png format, which makes bigger files than I want.
- So I used the Gimp to convert the image to .jpg format.
- The image must be under 256 kb.
- The .jpg will probably be okay, but i could use The Gimp to reduce it.
- Both of these are free.
- Put the image file in the folder where your computer normally looks for images.
Upload as thumbnail
- Your location is an inventory item.
Your location in your inventory
- Find your location in your inventory.
- Click your location to select it.
- Click Manage (bottom of panel) to open Manage Item panel
Manage Item panel
- Click the Choose File bar to open the folder where your computer looks for images.
- Click the file name to load it in the thumbnail place.
- Save your work.
Suggestion
- Most of what you do with your location is done in the Location Settings panel.
- Web-worlds: Cybalounge building: location settings
- I suggest making the Manage Item panel for location available from that panel also.
