• Part of my avatar is invisible
• My avatar is all jumbled up

If you are using dual monitors

Be sure that you run Second Life on the primary monitor.

If you don't care about the outfit you had on
Put on a new outfit as described here:
Appearance 101. Outfits and avatars

If you do care about the outfit you had on
I hope you had it saved. If not, you probably lost it.   

If so, put on a new outfit as described here:

Appearance 101. Outfits and avatars
Once the new outfit finishes loading (at least 5 minutes), put on the saved outfit.

If you still have a problem:

Reset the router.  Unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it in.

• Clear your cache
• Me- Preferences -Setup

Next try

• Click advanced button (top bar).
•  If that option is not there:  Me- Preferences- Advanced-Check "Show advanced menu"
• Show Debug Settings
• Into the white bar, enter  renderunloadedavatar
• Select True-

The instructions here apply to the standard Second Life viewer, 3.3+ or above.  They may apply to third party viewers with version numbers starting with 2.  They will not apply to viewers with version numbers starting with 1
