2018 EDU: WW: Educator communities for the virtual worlds:

Educator communities
for the virtual worlds

Yes for, not in. And so not limited to the virtual worlds.  Educators are focuised on education, not virtual worlds. Virtual worlds are just be one way of pursuing therir objectives. We virtual worlders tend to think virtual worlds are particularly useful for educational objectives and have a growing collection of demos.  Here are some places we could talk about those.

What online educational support can offer

  • In class teacher's assistant with internet skills and resources.
  • Support for homeschooling.
  • Support for disability schooling.
  • Support for distance education.
  • Support for work-study education.

Educationally relevant interests in the virtual worlds

  • Education and libraries
  • Self-education
  • Writing
  • Blogging

Education on social media

  • Educators have extensive communication channels in social media.
  • Some of these have sections specifically for technical developments.
  • If you have educationally relevant articles or notices, consider posting in those.
  • Here are some communities in G+.
  • There are also groups on Facebook but educators may not want to go there.
