Neovo Geesink has put out presentation boards at IMA Meet & Greet.  They are well designed to support planning meetings for business or business-like purposes.  You can put up an agenda, show a slide show, go through a web page, or share an interactive white board.  Fits common business and educational needs.

  • You can build there; it has 12 hour autoreturn.
  • It also has meeting areas with equipment commonly used in business meetings.
  • It is well suited for business meetings and educational classes.  
  • It is open to anyone.  No connection to IMA or to any group is needed to use it.

The left panel

The Left Panel is a Notecard Display Unit
  • It can show notecards with up to 50 lines with maximum 60 characters per line.
  • An empty line must have at least 3 spaces.
  • CTRL-Drag the notecard from inventory to the panel, click the panel to display it.

  • Could display the meeting agenda.
  • Or a TBD list.
  • You can change the notecard in mid-meeting.
  • You could put up a list of action items and who is taking them.
  • You might show the action items at the end of the meeting.
  • You might show the previous action items at the start of a meeting.

The center panel

The center panel can show images
Drag & drop the image file
  • The center panel (normal) will show images.  Drag & drop an image on it.
  • This is the side normally facing the audience.
  • The other side, facing away from the audience, will show media on a prim.
  • Drag & drop a url on this side to show a web page. 
  • To create a slide show, drag all the slides onto to panel in the order you want.
  • (Drag only one in at a time.)
  • To stream video, set your Parcel Texture to UUID =

  • You can prep for the meeting by loading a web page in advance
  • To show the web page to the audience click Toggle Interactive on the Control Panel
  • Note that a previous user may have left the center panel in Toggle Interactive mode.

  • You can run a whole slide-show from the podium.
  • Or you can drag & drop your slides onto the image side of the  center screen.
To create a slide show, drag all the slides onto to panel in the order you want.
(Drag only one in at a time.)

Say any of the next commands in Open Chat to command the panel directly:

  • /9 hide    to Hide the Panel from View.
  • /9 Show    to show the Panel
  • /9 S3to4    to switch to the 3:4 display format.
  • /9 S16to9    to switch to the 16:9 display format.
  • /9 next    to advance to the next picture.
  • /9 back    to go back to the previous picture.
  • /9 slide n    to automatically advance every n seconds.  (ex: slide 5)
  • /9 slide 0    (Zero) to stop slide show mode.
  • /9 media    to display the Parcel set content.
  • /9 purge    to clean and reset the MediaPanel.
  • /9 test    to display a PM5544 Testcard  (It is scaled to fit for a 4:3 Display)
  • /9 cyclepanel    to display the beginning background WITHOUT Purging the Panel.

  • This panel uses the web application:  A Web Whiteboard
  • A free account is available.
  • The inworld display is media on a prim.  
  • The simplest way to draw on the board is on the web rather than inworld.
  • The host can invite other participants and let them make entries.
  • The host can display the board inworld by entering the url in the floating control bar.
  • To get the floating control bar, hover the cursor over the display near the top.

The Hypergrid WIP Show

  • The Hypergrid WIP is a one hour "show & tell" of works in progress. 
  • Everyone is invited.  Building, scripting, entertainment-- whatever you are working on.
  • Selby may capture video of presentations in voice, for posting on YouTube.
  • The WIP show normally meets on 2 Sundays a month at 12 pm California time.
  • The show meets at the Pandora location on the second Sunday 
  • But will not meet in the summer.
  • And at Cookie II on the fourth Sunday.  
  • To keep up with the WIP meetings, join the Kitely group, Work in progress.
  • We can go to your place if there is time.
