TanGLe Grid Offers pricing by prim use.
Marketing the hypergrid.
Ann Tree Prenyour approves.
An advantage of competition is that entrepreneurs find different ways to compete.  Some work.  Some don't.  The ways that work tend to stick around.  Yeah--the look and feel of evolution.  Why is that?
Lots of hypergates here

  • Ann Tree Prenyour:  I am glad to see this pricing innovation.
  • Selby:  You think people will use that pricing structure?
  • Ann: I don't know.  You can't know till you try.  If you don't try you never know.   Until somebody else tries something and gets ahead of you with it.
  • Selby: If you have a monopoly, you don't need to innovate.
  • Ann:  If you have a monopoly, you don't want to innovate.  That would cannibalize your main business.
  • Selby: Survival of the fittest, I suppose.
  • Ann:  Survival of the fastest is more like it.   The fastest innovators.
  • Selby:  Innovation is a risk.  Lots of people see risk as a way of failing.
  • Ann:  It is.  People who are successful are the ones who have the most failures.
  • Selby: People who are successful in school don't have any failures.
  • Ann:  Entrepreneurs don't learn it in class.  They mostly figure it out for themselves.
  • Selby:  Virtual worlds offer a fairly safe place for risk-taking.  Maybe schools could use them for practice in risk-taking.
  • Ann:  Only if they are willing to take the risk.
