  • Oh, sure, mistakes in the "real" world can do lot of damage.
  • Mistakes in virtual worlds just teach you the value of backups.

  • People take a position in the box that fits their view.
  • They discuss that view with others in that box.
  • And with people in adjacent boxes.

The glossary game

Possible glossary games

  • A glossary lists and defines technical terms use in a field of instruction.
  • A glossary game might ask you to match terms with definitions.
  • Or match instances with terms.
  • Or match definitions with terms.

Group glossary games

  • Give each person a card each with a term, definition, or instance.
  • Challenge: get together by terms.

Solitary glossary games

  • Put out boxes with term titles.
  • Put out definitions and instances on objects.
  • Player's task: put definitions and instances in the right term box.
  • Boxes can keep score: provide prize or praise for achievement.

Instances

  • Multiple instances can and should be used.
  • Varied instances raise this from glossary learning to concept learning.
