Han Held, founder and orginizer of the Avatarfest festival, announced today that applications for the 2018 Avatarfest are now being accepted. In the announcement, Han Held also stated that this will be the final Avatarfest.
-
Han Held, citing a “sea change” in the makeup of the hypergrid, expressed confidence that although this is the end of Avatarfest, the community would come together to make a modern replacement. “There might not be this user-focused festival next year” Han wrote “ but I am confident that there will be a user-focused festival. One that, perhaps, better reflects the sensibilities of 2018 and not 2010.”
