Developing a shot list for the scene that introduces the beloved Lisa-Marie and her children.  In her trailer, Lisa is making toaster tarts for her babies.  Set tricks:  forced perspective and sit-positioner.   All on our set in Kitely

Forced perspective makes the space seem larger than it really is, when the viewpoint is the front of the build.

If you don't want to distort the size of people in a forced perspective build, you have to put them all at about the same distance from the camera

Sit-positioner in use

-

The sit-positioner is used to fix the position of an avatar as needed for a scene. It avoids the need for sit scripts in all the objects to be sat upon.  The sit script can be changed or adjusted to give the desired pose to the avatar.

Here Lisa-Marie is positioned as sitting on the bed.  The sit-positioner is intentionally left visible to show its position. Normally, it would be set transparent or nearly so.  

 -

Sit positioner

The sit positioner is a prim with a sit script.  The avatar sits on the prim and the director or avateer* edits the prim to position the avatar as needed for the scene. 

*Avateer: One who causes an avatar to perform movements in a virtual world by typing commands or using a mouse, just as a puppeteer is one who causes a marionette to perform movements by manipulating strings.
