What is the flipped webinar?

  • Flipped classroom  (The focus shifts from the teacher to the students.)
  • Flipped webinar (The focus shifts from the speaker to the participants)
  • Oh there will be knowledgeable people there all right.
  • They just won't take up your time telling you what they think you need to know.
  • They will expect you to indicate what you want to know.
  • Then they will tell you what they know about that.
  • And probably give you web links for more information.
  • They won't expect to ge paid for sharing what they know.
  • They view the flipped webinar as a place for exchanging information.
  • That means they seek the information they want to seek.
  • And give the information they want to give.
  • Nobody expects to get paid for this, so no charge is needed.
  • And virtual space has no practical limits, so no reservation needed.

After the break

  • Who is flipping webinars?
  • What are the flipped webinars about?
  • How can I find the ones I am interested in?
  • How do I get to them?

Who is flipping webinars?

  • The digitals, of course. The people in a digital community.
  • That's partly because webinars are so easy to get to.
  • Digitals can go anywhere in 30 seconds.  At no cost.
  • And without leaving home.  (So no child care problems)
  • Then, too, the digital world changes so fast that there is always something new.

What are the flipped webinars about?

  • Whatever the community wants to learn about.
  • Usually that includes something about doing things online in a virtual world.
  • This article is about webinars for educators (and by educators).

How can I find the ones I am interested in?

How do I get to them?
