2019 TECH: Augmented Reality Consumer App: Transparent House, Inc.

Augmented Reality Consumer App
Transparent House, Inc.

If you have an iPhone you can try out Augmented Reality (AR) with this app.  You can see how equipment by Mountain Hardware would look at your place.  You can also see how Transparent House can bring a product right into the customer's house, garage, yard--or wherever the customer wants to see the product.

  • This App was developed by the award-winning creative studio, Transparent House
  • Users can place gear side by side to get a sense of scale, color, or compatibility.
  • They can see, for example, what would fit in a tent.
  • An earlier version took  Best In Show at the 2019 Outdoor Retailer conference.
  • To download the App, visit the Apple App Store.
"This technology enables a more informed gear-shopping experience in a fraction of the time."  -- Jeff Brandon, Mountain Hardwear’s Associate Director of Brand Deployment
"The development work of Transparent House in augmented reality heralds a new future of retail visualization - a mandatory feature in a world that caters to a surging wave of millennials and digital natives who demand more visually stimulating online shopping experiences.  -- Michael Tchong - trend forecaster, principal of Ubercool Innovation and author of the forthcoming book "Ubertrends: How Trends and Innovation Are Transforming Our Future"
An earlier, internal version of the App took the Best In Show award at the Outdoor Retailer conference in Denver, in February.
