Promote your hypergrid place. 
Invite a tour or a blog article
Suppose you set up a beautiful place and nobody comes.  Or only a few people come.  That is because most people don't know about your place and don't know how to get there.  That is where you want promotion.    In virtual worlds and social media you can get a lot of free promotion.  Here are some suggestions.

Who wants people to come to their places?

  • Mall owners
  • Event venues
  • Grids
  • Educational places

How do you reach the people who would come?

  • Social media 
  • (grid forums are social media)
  • Hypergrid guides
  • Hypergrid tours

What do you tell them? 

  • Why they want to come.
  • What they will find there.
  • When to come (if it matters).
  • How to get there.

        • HG address of your place.
        • People won't come if they don't know how.
        • Firestorm hop to coordinates of landing point, if not the default.
        • Firestorm hops to other sites you want to point out.
        • How to find the main notecards about your place
        • Web links to background or related information
        • Best times for group visits (when a local guide/docent could be available)
        • Use familiar times, like California (SL) time.
        • If you have several places for them to visit, use walkin TPs

        Hypergrid Tours

        Once you get them there, don't let them leave empty handed

        • Give them a landmark
        • Your parcel is not my parcel.
        • Give them a notecard with HG address and Firestorm hop.
        • Firestorm hop works ingrid, takes them to specific coordinates.
        • For a varregion you probably want several FS hops.
        • Tell them how to use these TP methods--
        • you want new people, you don't just want people who know their way around the HG.
        • Invite them your welcoming group, tell them how to use group chat.
        • Give them web links to your website and G+ community.  
        • Invite them to join your G+ community: Introduce, ask, comment.
