  • You can "wear" objects--attach them to your avatar.  
  • Pre-made objects you get may have attachment points already set.
  • You can  set an attach point for any full perm object you own.  
  • Once an object is attached, you can position it as you wish.
  • When an object has an attachment point set, you can "wear" it
  • You can also "wear" clothes, but that is not like "wearing" objects

  • I can't get to the stage because of the lag.
  • I  can't even move because of the lag
  • It takes me five minutes to get to the stage because of the lag
  • I overshot the stage because of the lag
  • Why don't they fix this lag?

The fix: You can usually teleport by double-click on any place you see, if you have the right settings.

Changing outfits is the easiest way to change your appearance.  You will want more changes and you can have them.   But the more changes you want, the more you will have to learn.  So the best thing is to start simple and then decide what kind of changes you want.

Book Island, which is almost five years old, (we are celebrating the Island's Rez day this year!) is a diverse literary-related sim, with 60 shops, 5 houses, 3 events venues and a library. Our residents represent a variety of SL and RL businesses. Events are promoted through our Book Island Events and Discussion Group with over 2000 members. Residents also belong to the Publishing Village Residents Association.
