Calendars: Entertainment in the virtual worlds

This is a collection of Google calendars showing the schedule for entertainment events in Second Life and the hypergrid. The postings are made by people running the event. If you have any questions or concerns, contact them. My only role here is to collect and post the calendars to make them available in a single location.

Google Calendars are the best schedule for the hypergrid

• Always up to date. 
• One change to change them all.
• Same access for everyone, ever the outworlders.
• People can add it to their personal Google calendars.
• Can be managed by a group.
• Can easily run on a blog or website. 
• Could be added to a grid registration web site.
• Could feature grid attractions. 
• Can collect multiple calendars into a single calendar
• Calendar collections could be simple way to make grid calendars
• Can be made into a poster for display inworld. 
• Google Calendar tutorial (Used for notices of HG events)

• Some of these are grid calendars, but they list a lot of entertainment events.
• For now, my definition of entertainment is broad.  
• If I get more calendars, I will make more specific categories.

• To copy a calendar to your personal collection:
• Click the + sign in the Google Calendar button (bottom right)
• Look for the new calendar under Other Calendars to the left of your main calendar

How to handle a Hypergrid address 

From any Hypergrid-enabled grid, paste the address into the address bar of Firestorm and press enter. Or paste it into the world map search bar of any viewer, search, and click Teleport when the destination is found. If it doesn't work, don't give up. Try again in couple of minutes.  Sometimes the first try fails (probably times out).  And try again a few hours later. Some hypergrid destinations are offline part of the day. 

• The ideal Hypergrid address form--almost there in Firestorm
• If you get an address like this: 
• hg.francogrid.org:80:Residence-09:/119/128/190 
• paste it into the address bar of Firestorm, see if it takes you to the exact coordinates.
