How  to meet people who share your interests

• Fill out your profile.  
• Be sure to enter your interests.
• List each interest separately. 
• Profiles. Yours and theirs 
• How do I find: friends, places, events in SL? 
• Use the social network system in SL  

• To get someone into your list of friends:
• Right click on the avatar and click on "Add Friend"
• Or open the person's profile and click the +Friend button
• To "defriend" someone, use the same button
• To block someone from contacting you, use the People button (2 heads)

Use your profile

• Open your profile.  Click on one of your interests.
• On the page that opens, click on an interesting profile.
• On an interesting profile, visit some of the person's picks.
• Use the places method below.

• Go to a place that interests you
• Where to go, how to get there. 
• Newcomer friendly places 
• Destination Guide (Second Life) 
• Check the profiles of people near you
• Who is near me? Use the people window 
• Right click on an avatar that looks interesting 
• Dealing with other avatars 
• Open the profile.  Check the interests.
• If you see an interest that fits you well, send an IM to the person.
• To block someone from contacting you, use the People button
• Communication: summary 
• Post a picture link on your profile feed. Snapshot button (camera)

• Find an event that interests you
• Destination Guide, Featured events 
• Use the Places Method above

• Connect with Second Life communities
