2013 WRITE: Series writing in virtual worlds: plan for a project

Series writing in virtual worlds:
plan for a project

-

-

-

• The Avatar Repertory Theater (ART) now has a writing unit.
• The writing unit is working to produce a comedy series.
• Or maybe several, if we get enough writers.
• The resulting scripts will be produced by ART in the weekly ART Plays Around show
• Some resulting scripts will be produced as videos
• Videos will be submitted to talent-search programs by YouTube, Amazon, and others
• Comedy series project Planning 1 and 2
• Introducing the 16 YouTube Next Comics!
• Comic alert: Amazon wants your video series

-

• Writing a series is a big job.
• But not too big if we break it up into bite-sized pieces.
• And arrange for remote and asynchronous collaboration
• Next: how we are doing that.

2013 BIZ: Trying on houses in Second Life

Trying on houses
-
A funny thing happened at Hobo Island.  A house appeared.  Stayed for a about five minutes.
Then was replaced by another house.  I got pictures of a couple of the houses (below).

-

I realized that a couple of people were looking over their collection of houses.

• Maybe trying them on for fit.
• They could walk through the house
• Look at sight lines
• Check the layout for convenience
• Compare houses
• Maybe an architect showing houses the easy way.
