- The 7 Keys to Creative Collaboration
- Movies for Every Subject Area: Creating Active Learning Through Film
- This plan can be used in-person or online (in the metaverse).
- In either case, the DTA could handle the details.
DTA assignments:
Before class, work alone
- Watch these videos: (List 1 or more videos)
- For each video: list the things you most need to remember in order of importance.
- Put your summary in your desk at the team workroom.
- A teacher or assistant may read your summary and give you comments.
- A teacher or assistant may evaluate your list by comparing it with a master list.
- You get individual credit for this work, if you complete it before the team meeting.
At class time
- All the lists will be available for the entire class to read.
- Pick someone the be lead editor.
- Lead editor's job: copy/paste items into the team summary in the order chosen by the team.
- Lead editor starts by calling for nominations of the first item. The team discusses the choices and votes. (Lead editor has a vote.)
- Team's choice is by majority vote. If 2 items are tied, the both get the same number distinguished by a and b,
- When several items are about the same thing, the team choses the clearest one.
- The team chooses whatever items it considers important.
- The team score goes to everyone who was present at the meeting.
What is being practiced?
- That is aside from the topic of the video.
- Four of the famous C's.
- Critical thinking in selecting the important items.
- Collaboration in the team meeting.
- Communication in writing the list and discussing the items.
- Creativity in expressing the items.
How could it be done online?
- Web-worlds would be a likely choice since they run on Chromebooks and tablets.
