2013 HELP: Stuck on my home sim, can't teleport:

Stuck on my home sim, can't teleport:

  • That may be just temporary network lag. 
  • It can be a persistent problem with the particular sim. 
  • You could  have restrictions on your account
  • It could what you are wearing on your avatar
In any case, here are things you can do:

Network lag, what you can do while waiting 
  • Get the slurl of the place you want to go to.
  • From a landmark: right click it and click "Show Map."
  • On the map, click the copy slurl button
  • Paste the copy in a text file
  • Log off and restart the viewer
  • Paste the slurl in the "Start here" box and click the Login button
  • That should log you in to the place you wanted to be
Sim, persistent  problem 
Restrictions on your account
  • Indicator:  TP request gets message mentioning a restriction
  • If you are under 18, you will not be able to go to any sims except those marked General.
  • If you came in through an institution (college, for example), your account may be restricted to a sim or sims owned by that institution.
  • If you are over 16, you can create your own account.  That will not be restricted to institutional sims, but will still be limited to sims marked  General.
What you are wearing on your avatar
