“WHY BROWSER-BASED VR?”

The Virtual Center for Archives and Records Administration (VCARA) still promotes the use of Second

Life and other virtual worlds for education and social interaction. We’ve also been beta testing Mozilla

Hubs and hosting the open-source code on our own server. In this session Bethany will share

information about this initiative with browser-based VR. We hope to enable more LIS students, faculty,

and staff explore emerging technologies and see for themselves the power of these environments.

Bethany will share examples created by her and by our students.
