F/Xual Education Services:
Occupational Medicine Simulation.
A HUD is a Digicoach without personality.
A simulation for instruction in occupational medicine with comments on how a DTA might support learning in this MUVE

Start by getting a HUD
A kind of Digicoach
- HUD=Heads-up display (Wikipedia)
- You wear it like an object, but see no object.
- You see text somewhere on your screen.
- The text may give you instructions or offer options.
- Think of it as your own personal contact with the Force.
- Or think of it as an invisible Digicoach trying to help you in your quest.
- Here it takes you to places related to instruction.
The Assessment Clinic
- The assessment clinic is nearby, so I really don't need the HUD.
- But it might help beginners.
A medical examining room
- If I were enrolled in a course, the HUD might let me call up a patient to examine.
- The patient might look human but actually be a robot managed by the DTA.
- The patient might have visible signs of trauma, sufficient for a tentative diagnosis.
- Or the patient might describe symptoms
- I might interact with the patient by typing and reading text responses.
- The DTA could use text-to-speech so it could respond in voice.
- Maybe the DTA would not be able to interpret voice.
- But it could record my voice and let the instructor evaluate that later.
- If the examining routine (for the tentative diagnosis) is very standard, the DTA might not need to interpret my spoken voice.
- DTA could assume that I asked the routine question, and so give answer to that.
- To interpret voice, the DTA could use speech-to-text, then search the text for expected phrases.
- The teacher knows what phrases to expect at each stage of the examination.
- And so could prep DTA on what to look for.
- If the interpretation is good enough, Digicoach could provide feedback
- It could use the HUD and so keep its communications private.
Equipment for the examining room
- This equipment might be used to teach technicians to recognize the items.
- If there is a standard layout technicians could also practice placing the items.
The respiratory system
- Medical personnel might use this chart to help the patient understand the diagnosis.
- The explanation could be recorded and reviewed later by the teacher.
- A pointer could be provided for the learner to point to relevant places in the chart.
The Locker Room
- Here i can learn about protective clothing and gear.
Posters showing
protective clothing and gear
- The DTA might bring in robots almost properly outfitted for their job.
- My task would be to point out any deficiencies in the outfit.

Development considerations
Possible services, education
- Error based learning in writing. Combine project-based learning with test-based learning. And maybe get a useful product out of it.
- Digicoach can support collaborative homework and study sessions
- Digicoach can support homework in virtual worlds with JIT learning, immediate feedback

New century education
- Once you hear lecture about swimming, you never forget what you learned about lectures. Talking is not teaching
