Araucana, exiles of the galaxy,  HG safari. 
Sight-seeing on the Hypergrid
Science fiction fans are naturally attracted to user-built virtual worlds, partly because they are interested in future tech and partly because, as users, they can build worlds to display their interests.  In Arucana, a fan with wide interests brings together a pantheon of science fiction themes.   HG Safari visited there and here is what we found.

  • I was not able to get there the first time I tried, so it pays to keep trying.

HG Safari mixes with the aliens

  • I recognize the Vulcan in the blue shirt
  • The aliens are from various science fiction stories and movies.
  • They look like avatars, but they are probably non-player characters.

Teleporter to the Araucana
  • In the AVatarWorlds, the teleporters work much as the do in the Star Trek world.
  • But they never duplicate people.

  • I only visit the NASA world on television and in virtual worlds.
Avatars gather for teleport 
to another world
  • We live in many worlds, we of the AVworlds
  • Everyone with imagination lives in many worlds.
  • Because imagination can build more worlds than can the builders of the AVworlds.
  • But in the AVworlds, other people can share our worlds.  
  • We can talk with them, show them things.
  • Even ride around in Moon buggies with them.

    The Hypergrid WIP Show

    The Hypergrid WIP is a one hour "show & tell" of works in progress or recently completed. Everyone is invited.  Building, scripting, promotion, entertainment-- whatever you are working on.
