2015 PEOPLE: ART: Hobo Reserved Sandbox on Kitely. Hobo Island in SL up for sale

 Hobo Island in SL up for sale.
I will be moving more of my activities out of SL.  It is time to begin planning on what will happen to Hobo Island in SL.  I will soon end my support for Hobo Island.  Here I offer some possibilities involving Hobo Island in SL and hobo activities on the Hypergrid.

Hobo Island in Second Life has been around for a long time. I have been supporting it for much of that time.  Partly because of the problems with the TOS and partly because of the shift of LL development to Sansara, I have been moving my activities to the Hypergrid (Kitely). Now I need to think about putting Hobo Island up for sale.  I am setting no date, but I am first offering Hobo Island to someone representing the Hobo Castaways (at no profit to me).  If there are no takers, I will offer it to the general public on a do-what-you-please basis.  If there are still no takers, I will abandon the land.  I will set up a hobo place in Kitely if enough people come to Hypergrid.

    Alternative accommodations

    • I have set up an alternative location on Kitely:
    • Hobo Reserved Sandbox on Kitely. For the Hobo Sandboxers
    • Hobos in Second Life are welcome to join the Sandboxers on Kitely
    • Cookie II on Kitely is the size of 4 sims in sl and can have 60k prims
    • The Hobo Sandbox occupies most of one sim-sized area.  
    • To go there, put the line below in the Nav bar of Firestorm. Enter.
    • hop://grid.kitely.com:8002/Cookie II/93/376/22
    • Much of Cookie II carries Arcadia's work, including the slum content. 
    • Cookie II also has a music venue and may have more in the future.
    • If the current sandbox becomes over-crowded, I will get more space.
    • A new Hobo Island in Kitely is possible.  4x the space in SL. 
    • That would cost me $20 per month.  

    Basic conditions for using the Hobo Sandbox on Cookie II

    • No cost, no time charges, no cost to upload textures.
    • A Kitely regular account is free if you don't need land.
    • You can use the Hobo Sandbox instead.
    • No prim limits, no script limits (for now).
    • No autoreturn.  
    • Untended builds may be returned at any time.
    • Parcel clean-up may be done on 10 min. notice if lots of stuff is around. 
    • Anyone who has not been banned can enter the area
    • Only people in the Hobo Sandboxer group have power to rez, and build.
    • Managers can invite, eject, manage ban lists, set music stream, return objects. 
    • If you want to build on the sandbox, contact me (Selby Evans) in Kitely.
    • You can use the Hobo Sandbox if you come in on the Hypergrid

      The Hypergrid WIP Show

      The Hypergrid WIP is a one hour "show & tell" of works in progress or recently completed. All builders from beginner to pro are invited.  Presentations are in voice and text.  For text presentations, best bring the text in a notecard and paste it into chat.  Voice presentations may be captured in video.  Stills and videos from the show may appear in this blog.

              Nice list!
              The Cookie II world in Kitely now has the equivalent of 16 sims - 1024x1024 meters. We could expand the Hobo Sandbox to a full 256x256 parcel, if it needs more room.
