There are other methods, but this looks like the best/easiest for now.  

• Use Firestorm 4.5.1 (38838) Oct 28 2013  or later.
• How to install Firestorm if needed:
• Download Firestorm from here.
• Be sure to get Firestorm for Opensim for the system you are using.
• Firestorm for Second Life will not work on Opensim.
• But Firestorm for Opensim will work on Second Life. (Hybrid mode)
• Remove any previous version of Firestorm viewer.
• Using the uninstall or remove process in your computer.
• Leave other viewers untouched.
• Firestorm Documentation and User Guide (Wiki)

To save to your computer:

• Right Click on the object (as for editing).
• Click Save as (near the bottom).
• Click backup.
• Saves to an .oxp file.
• Note the directory it will go in.
• Wait for notice that backup is complete--this may take a little time.

Import

• Click build (on the top menu, not elsewhere).
• Click import (or another option if you want).
• It will want the directory that has the file.
• Check the import--the contents may not always import.
