History Month in August on the virtual world of Kitely.  
Autodocent on call
In preparation for August History month on Kitely, Ravyn Stormchyld, has set up an autodocent system that will give you a spoken narration about an item when you get near it.  You wear a hud provided by Rayvn to trigger the narration.  The audio is prepared from a notecard by a text-to-speech engine supported by code that breaks the audio files into 9 second clips to conform to the limit established by SL.

Kitely History Month 

Residents of Kitely are organizing History Month for the month of August. The event is designed to highlight the many historic builds in Kitely and to encourage more of them. At the History Month Hub, visitors will receive a HUD and landmarks to allow them to visit the history-related worlds around the grid.
  • The Hub may not be open till Aug. 1, but the HG address is:

Time Periods

History month will focus on a different historic era each week in August:
  • Week 1: Big bang to Greeks & Romans
  • Week 2: Medieval 500-1500
  • Week 3: 1600-1700
  • Week 4: 1800 to 1914

Events

The irrepressible Freda Frostbite is organizing a series of events to correspond with each week's theme. This list is subject to change. When you go to a region looking for an event, remember that, in Kitely, you can open the map and look for the green dots showing people.

The Grand Ball

The Grand Ball will be held August 28 at 11:00 AM Grid Time at The Kingdom of Florin. Dress for any historical period, though the sim is 18th century France. The musical stream and dances will be appropriate to the period. We believe there will be historical costumes available on site that day for any who wish to dress for the occasion.

    The Hypergrid WIP Show
