Discovery art is a natural fit for virtual worlds. This is art you can walk around in, art you can explore, art that makes sounds, art that moves, art that can react to your action. Such art cannot be depicted in flat pictures, although pictures can show a few details.

Overview of Funky Junk
- Makes me think of the overviews done by Pieter Bruegel the elder
- Bruegel's synoptic paintings are an early example of discovery art.
- Examples: Children's Games, The Fight Between Carnival and Lent.
- In discovery art, there are lots of things and stories to discover.

- You have to look around carefully.
- Or you won't see everything.
- That is the way it is with discovery art.
