Getting things in boxes
Lots of things you get, whether you buy them or get them free, will come in boxes. Just like back home in the old world. And, just like that box you get from UPS, you have to unpack it. And then find the things you want to use
- Don't wear the box.
- Go to a place where you can rez things.*
- Rez the box: (Drag it from your inventory out onto the ground.)
- Right click on the box.
- Let the system copy the contents to your inventory
- V3.2 Inventory button
- The contents will probably be in a folder with the same name as the box.
- Start typing the folder name in the search bar.
- When you see the folder name, click the down arrow next to it.
- If you expect instructions, look for a note card.
- If you see something you want to wear, right click the name and select wear.
- If the item is an avatar, drag the entire folder onto your avatar.
- Thing you don't wear, you rez just as you did the box
- *You can rez things at a sandbox such as Hobo Island.
- List of sandboxes from the destination guide
