2016 BIZ: PEOPLE: BBB: Better Business Bureau for the hypergrid? HGProjects

BBB:  Better Business Bureau for the hypergrid? HGProjects
As the hypergrid grows and HG business expands, is there a need for the equivalent of the Better Business Bureau.  That question was posed by Minetheree Athanasios.  Here is research into the question and current similar resources by Maria Korolov.

  • Could the real BBB do the job?
  • Maria Korolov already has something like a Better Business Bureau.
  • Maybe the OSHG development committee will want to consider the idea.

Could the real BBB do the job?

The Better Business Bureau (Wikipedia) founded in 1912, is a nonprofit organization focused on advancing marketplace trust,[2] consisting of 112 independently incorporated local BBB organizations in the United States and Canada, coordinated under the Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB) in Arlington, Virginia.[3]
  • Virtual business is business.
  • But at present, the BBB seems to focus strongly on location.
  • Listing plan does not seem understand internet or WWW.
  • Does not see the url (.com) as a valid location.
  • They seem so last century.

Maria Korolov already has listing like BBB

  • Maria Korolov has a list of vendors
  • Would be happy to add more categories to it.
  • People can post comments on the vendor listings.
  • Email maria@hypergridbusiness.com to get your company added.
  • It's a free listing.

Maybe the OSHG Development Committee will want to consider the idea
