Here is the call.

Here is what I said in comment on the call:
-
Thank you for your offer, but I think my blog  http://virtualoutworlding.blogspot.com/is more effective in reaching my target audience than would be a guest post on the Second Life blog.-All my posts carry this line:Creative Commons License, attribution only.-So feel free to republish any of my blog posts, in whole or in part,  You would only need to include a link to the original post.-Thinkerer Melville/Selby Evans

Guest blogs
I do publish guest blogs from time to time, so I will offer some comments on this idea.
  • Regular bloggers have little reason to send posts to another blog.
  • Guest bloggers are usually  people with something to tell on a particular occasion.
  • Guest bloggers want to post on a blog matching the target audience for the occasion.
  • Guest posts are usually urgent and critically time dependent.

I can't think of any suggestions to make this call more effective.  I don't see the reasons for it either.  The blogging community in Second Life is large--I have over 100 blogs on my blogroll   (the most recent 25 posts are in the right-hand column of this blog).

I suspect that the multiple blogs of the blogging community get Second Life much more publicity and promotion than do the blogs posted by Linden Lab.  And that publicity/promotion is probably getting more general readership than a proprietary blog under the Second Life name.
