Calling all Social Butterflies and one really awesome People Person as a Volunteer Chair!
The Social Committee for VWBPE www.vwbpe.org is looking for Volunteers who want to make the socials this year, something grand, something to remember, in fact, something totally EPIC!
Social’s first formal meeting will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm slt (EduIsland 8) http://slurl.com/secondlife/
At that meeting, the Social Committee will begin planning and organizing several social events of EPIC proportions! The theme this year is “Be Epic” and our job will be to help define EPIC as well as plan those EPIC social activities that build community, provide people with opportunities to network and get to know each other, and, above all, have fun experiencing some of the great entertainment in Second Life.
We will need people to plan, organize, build, schedule entertainment, and then during the conference host the socials. The social committee plans and hosts the awards ceremony, so we need volunteers to help with the award process. We also need people to help with the newbies and get them acclimated to Second Life and comfortable attending the conference presentations, poster sessions, and of course, the social events.
We need help putting together the SWAG Bag (something everyone gets), and anything else that the committee decides we need to do to build community and make the conference FUN!!!
