Ballet Pixelle™ produces professional works that creatively utilize the Second Life and First Life environments; we produce classical, neo-classical, contemporary, and eclectic ballets for and with the residents of Second Life.

Our dancers perform original animations created especially for each ballet. Ballet Pixelle™cast members live all around the world and in performance dance to the music as he or she hear it, coordinating their movement with other dancers on our stage. The musical scores are original works written for these new ballets.

There are currently over 1000 members in Ballet Pixelle™ , which is our audience group. To join, search for the group "Ballet Pixelle"; there is no cost to join. Among other things, you will receive special invitations to performances and previews. Performances are free and open to all.
Our goal is to explore physical and virtual dance and movement and to to investigate blended realities.-------------------------

We aim to produce works that are enjoyable, inspiring, educational, and to bring new dance to people who would normally see a ballet. We present ballet to those that cannot see dance because of cost, physical or psychological limitations. We have had audience members in hospitals, those that are shut in, those that cannot afford to see dance, and those that do not have an opportunity to see dance where they live.
