Faint Praise: "Viewer 2: Finally starting to show promise"

Faint Praise: "Viewer 2: Finally starting to show promise"
But praise, nonetheless.

Viewer 2: Finally starting to show promise  Living in the Modem World:
"It’s also nice to see the promised two-way “dialogue” between TPV developers and LL start to yield fruit, with tools we’ve seen commonplace in several TPVS – texture alignment, Google-powered translation, etc., – finally entering into Viewer 2; may snowglode result in much more of this – and in both directions."

Some things you can do:
Detach the windows that open on the right (from the jabs that stick out on the right).
Slide the detached window around the screen.
-
How to:
Undock: Top of window, next to the ? -- click on left-pointing arrow.
Redock: Click on right-pointing arrow in the same place
Minnimize: Click on the dash.  Minimized windows go to the left side, so you can open them without covering other right side windows.
-
You still cannot have open multiple windows of the same type, except for inventory windows.  The feature I would like to see is the ability to open multiple group profile windows so I can work with more than one group at the same time.

My view: Yes, some aspects returned to the level of usability reached a couple of years back by viewer 1.x .  Nevertheless, Viewer 2.x is the one I use most of the time in Second Life.  The prim browser is so valuable to me that I am willing to put up with the limitations.  I have several prim browsers displaying Google calendars--that is how I keep track of schedules.

For other grids, I use Imprudence.
